Marcy Plumley nee Sommer. Age 57. Beloved wife of Gregg. Dearest mother of Rachel and the late Kristen. Loving sister of Linda (Stephen) Welle, Rick (Cindy) Aylward, Kathie (Phillip) Harnden, Cynde Sommer and Alan (Gwen) Sommer. Many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Funeral Thursday 11AM at Brust Funeral Home 415 N. Gary Ave. Carol Stream, IL. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 pm. Interment Assumption Cemetery Wheaton, IL. Marcy packed so much personality into her tiny body. She was the baby of the family, but make no mistake, Marcy was the boss. She loved to shock us with her wicked sense of humor! Marcy was a huge fan of everything from Barry Manilow to puzzles, from game nights to Roger Federer. She could solve every Forensic Files case before the first commercial. Marcy was such an amazing mom to Rachel and Kristen. She dedicated her life to her girls and in a sense, compromised her own health to provide such loving care to Kristen. Marcy's infectious smile concealed a very feisty attitude! Although not a gourmet chef, she sure could make a mean tuna casserole. Marcy will be sorely missed by her family, many friends and her fur baby, Sundae. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
