Marianne Gilhooly Obituary

Marianne Gilhooly Prayers for Marianne Gilhooly (nee Anderson) will be said at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon Parkway, Hoffman Estates. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Marianne was the beloved wife of John Patrick Gilhooly; loving mother of Mary (John) Langhenry, and Thomas, Terrence (Colleen), Robert (Nancy) Gilhooly, and the late Jeanne and James; cherished grandmother of Ryan, Shannon, Jack, Emily, Anna, Joseph, Daniel, Timothy and Katie; dear daughter of the late Myrtle Anderson; fond sister of the late Richard and Karen Anderson; and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 120 Wall Street, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10005-4001. We are so sorry to hear of Marianne's death. She was a wonderful lady and we always thought so much of her. She served at our wedding reception almost 20 years ago and was always so good to us.
