Marie A. Specht

Marie A. Specht of Palatine, formerly of Arlington Heights Funeral Mass for Marie A. Specht (nee Szczech), 90, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Born Aug. 1, 1912, in New York Mills, N.Y., she died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, Palatine. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Prior to Mrs. Specht living at St. Joseph Home, she had been a long-time volunteer there. Survivors include her sons, Thomas F. (Sharon) Specht of DeKalb and Bill (Maureen) Specht of Palatine; grandchildren, Kathleen, Julia, Thomas, Daniel, William and Robert Specht; great-grandchildren, Justin Specht, Ryan, Madelyn and Thomas: brother, John Szczech of Chicago; and brother-in-law, Edward Pichla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E.; brothers, Steven and Stanley; and sister, Josephine Pichla. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at St. Joseph Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for Little Sisters of the Poor, c/o St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W.
