MARILYN ANNE CERMAK

DOWNERS GROVE - Marilyn Anne Cermak, age 65, a longtime resident of Downers Grove, IL, passed away suddenly on December 10, 2015. She was born April 15, 1950 in Evergreen Park, IL. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Dick Cermak; her loving children, Francis (Sharon) Cermak and Clare Cermak; her grandson, Gavin Cermak and her granddaughter in spirit, Evie Cermak, who preceded her in death in 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anamae Henderson and her sister, Suzy Vasilko. Marilyn worked for 20 years at the College of DuPage Library and 18 years at Benedictine University working with students and helping to change many people's lives. She will be fondly remembered as the "Mother of Benedictine". She was a devoted mother and an adored Nana to her grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 15, 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville.
