Mrs. Sullivan Davis-

The gifts you were given, you whole heartedly gave away. Those gifts live on in my child, and all of the children you taught.

Thank you.

I didn't know Mrs. Sullivan-Davis well, however, I do know that she was my daughter Sydney's most favorite teacher last year at Pleasant Lane. You should all take heart in knowing that the joy she had for teaching and for her students will live on through the many, many lives she touched. We'll keep you in our prayers.

Our family was gratefully touched by the warm and caring ways of Mrs. Sullivan-Davis. We send our deepest sympathy to her loved ones.

Through art, Murph guided the hands of my childen, taught them to look at the world in a different way, and helped them discover the beauty in the world around us. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by so many.

September 12, 2006

Murph taught both my children and nephews and many of my friends children. She made learning about art fun and I have some of their projects on my walls and think of her often because of them.

She always had time to talk to the parents in the halls of Parkview School in Lombard. She will be missed by many.

Aunt Murphy - your untimely and tragic death has left an enormous hole in our family. We will always remember your smile, your laugh, the excitement in your voice and twinkle in your eyes when you were happy, the warmth you brought to every room you entered, and the kindness you shared with everyone. We love you with all our hearts and will do our best to live our lives as you lived yours - with grace, compassion, and laughter.

Osian and Art,

I can only imagine the pain and grief you are feeling. All of my memories of Murphy are good ones. It is hard to lose such a wonderful person, loved by so many. Our family grieves with yours. Your only joy is in knowing that she went to be with the Lord. I pray that God will grant your hearts comfort in knowing that she is with Him.

Murphy was always a ray of sunlight wherever she went. Her delightful demeanor and joy for life was present since childhood and touched all those with whom she came into contact. Although as adults we didn't see each other often, the memories of my dear cousin are fresh and cherished. Heartfelt sympathy to Ginny, Peter, Osian and families and friends.

To the Family of Murph:

Murph and I began teaching in School District #44 together in 1978 and over the years I so enjoyed hearing about her creative student and building art projects. She will be remembered for her creativity and the happiness and joy she shared with others.

May God bless you and your family at this time.

Mom,

God Bless and Keep You Always!

I Love you so much and I will always miss you dearly. You were the greatest mother anyone could ever ask for! I'm sure that you are an Angel in Heaven now looking down on us and I pray you will watch over me for all the days of my life.

Your Loving Son,

Osian

Murph was a remarkable person full of love and laughter who overcame so many of life's challenges successfully. We took a course together "The Artist's Way" and I will never forget the fun we had dashing there after work, gobbling our dinner in what we called "auto picnics" and then, just as easily turning to talk of artistic philosophy, teaching art and trying to keep things together spiritually. I will remember many great things about Murph, but those memories of our time spent together at that class are special. The world has lost an incredible teacher and person.
