Her legacy also includes 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom were her pride and joy.
Mary’s passions for sports, community, and family defined her remarkable life. She coached volleyball and softball at St. Collette’s School and was a die-hard fan of the Chicago Bears, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, and the Chicago Cubs. Her neighbors described her as “the kind of person who brought people together,†always greeting everyone with a kind word and offering help whenever needed. Her presence, personality, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A fiercely independent woman, Mary lived on her own and remained mentally sharp until her passing. She had the unique ability to connect with people of all ages, often sharing her wisdom and joy in conversations that spanned decades of life experience.
