Mary Palasky McLellan

Mary Palasky McLellan of Palatine The family of Mary Palasky McLellan, 88, is planning a private memorial service on Mother's Day. She passed away on Good Friday, March 25, 2005, at her residence. Mary, a coalminer's daughter from Buckner, Ill. moved to the Chicago area at the age of 16 and fell in love with the restaurant business, becoming hostess/manager of some of the city's top restaurants, including the Pittsfield Restaurant and Coffee Shop and Eli's. Mary met the biggest and best of city politicians, entertainers, columnists and executives, all vying for the best table location and she magically accommodated. Everyone knew Mary and she knew everybody. She was the loving mother of Judy Cimaglio (Fred) and Jill Stone; known and loved as "Nonny" to an extended family of seven grandchildren, Chris, Tim, Kim, Tammy, Rob, Tom and Carrie and 11 great-grandsons!
