I dont even know Matthew or the family, but live in the neighborhood and heard what happen. I just want to say that you and your family are in my prayers and I cannot tell you how sorry I am. I just want to extend my deepest sympathy and may God watch over you as he is watching over your wonderful son.

Words cannot describe what Matt did for me while I was struggling to get clean. He would call and check up on me every day after I left treatment. He helped me through some difficult times and always always always made me feel better. He left a lasting impression and he will not be forgotten by me, or by any of the many people whose life he touched. My heart goes out to all of his friends and family. This was a tragedy to say the least, but knowing he's in a better place does my heart good.
