Maurice Klock Obituary

Maurice L. Klock of Hampshire A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Maurice L. "Bud" Klock, 79, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire, with Fr. Andrew Plesa officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with Rosary at 4:15 p.m. at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire. Born March 31, 1927, on the family farm in Hampshire, the son of Harry and Amelia (nee Dumoulin) Klock, he passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Maurice was an Army veteran of the Korean War and after the war he returned to the farm where he farmed all his life. Mr. Klock was a lifelong member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Post #680 of Hampshire. Surviving are his siblings, Kenneth (Thelma) Klock of Kirkland, Betty Gorenz of Burlington and Arlo (Doris) Klock of Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Donald Klock; and nephew, Ronald Klock. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the Capital Campaign for the St. Charles Borromeo Church or the Hampshire Ambulance. For information, 847-683-2711.
