Funny - after reading what everyone else had to say - the common thing is what was so memorable to me -That radiating smile!!! The smile that could only come from someone who was truly beautiful - inside and out. The fond days of our teen years and my hanging out with Robin and "her" friends - because I was new to the area and didn't attend school here were not as many; but were just as special. I Always had a crush on Michael. When we heard of his being ill and the benefit at Kristoff's I was most amazed not by the number of people there but by the fact that Mike was the most positive person in the place! I visited him a few times prior to the surgery and was blessed to have some time to get to know him better as a grown-up! I was so thrilled when he was able to have the surgery and that it went well....I am so glad that he was able to be here with you a bit longer. Nothing mattered more to Michael than his family....nothing. My only regret is that I didn't become the stalker I threatened him I would be. I am sure there isn't a person who knew him that wouldn't want just one more day, year, minute or smile from him here....I am truly blessed to have known him. Thank you for sharing him with me.

Dear Bergloff Family,
I am sorry that I am so late, but I just now learned of Mike's passing. Mikey was one of my favorite people on this earth & I'm heartbroken for all of us that loved him so much. He has been a very special friend to me since he was 15 and he will be unbelievably missed.
The last time we got together he looked so good. It was the first time I'd seen him since before his transplant, what a difference. He was so excited about life & being able to ride his motorcycle. I'm so glad that he got that chance!
My thoughts & prayers are with all of you. Now I have the duty of calling Vicki & Lisa, they loved him very much also.
May God bless and comfort you.
With Love & A Heavy Heart,
Robin Sittig (now Midgett)

I was also lucky enough to work with Mike at Cedar Foods. He will always hold the title of King of Pranks. Who else would ask me what kind of sandwich I wanted for dinner, and then make me a liver casing sandwich? Have you ever seen a liver casing ?? It's gross! Good thing I checked it before I took a bite - we laughed until we cried! You never knew what to expect from Mike! He had a contagious laugh, a beautiful smile and a heart of gold. I will always cherish the good times we shared. My very deepest sympathies to the entire Bergloff and Eaton families - you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Mikey!
Since you put so many smiles on my face while we worked together for three excellent years at Cedar Foods, it is my turn to make you smile!
That job at Cedar Foods during High School was excellent and I will never forget the fun that we had. We were one (er four?) big happy Family down there on N. Cedar Lake Road.
Bosses: Fran and John, Cashier Sandy, Joe E.,and certain members of the Families: Bruenning's, Lagoo's, Lassa's and Bergloff's. All thrown together at the small town local market.
I learned so much from you Mike and I only wish that our pathes had crossed later in life so that I could tell you all this.
You were dependable, hard-working, and too much fun!Our customer's loved you! They would ask to be waited on by you, and wondered where you were on your day off.
I had a blast working with you and so did every body else: From stocking the beer cooler to doing the floors on saturday nights, I always knew I could count on you to make me smile.
Thank you for the great times Mike, I am going to miss you!
On behalf of the Lassa Family, we would like to extend our condolensces to the Bergloff's and Eaton's.
Best,
Peter Lassa
