Patricia Kopp

Patricia Kopp, 90, of Arlington Heights, died peacefully on October 14, 2024, in her home with her family by her side.

Patricia was born in Peoria on September 2, 1934, to parents, Richard Norwood and Dorothy June (nee Ives) White. She married William K. Kopp after meeting while they were both teaching at Algonquin Junior High in Des Plaines.

Patricia was a dedicated teacher and assistant principal and taught for many years at Longfellow School on Buffalo Grove, and Algonquin Junior High in Des Plaines.

She was an Honor Resident and Outstanding Senior at Illinois State University, served on the Women’s Rec. Association Board, served as both secretary and president of the Church Board, Education, Sunday School Board, Secretary of Church Board, and Preschool Board.

Patricia loved crafting, and spent countless hours sewing, knitting, and needle-point. She was very organized and a hard worker. She supported her kids with everything they pursued and was very involved. She loved assisting with field trips and enjoyed the time spent taking kids to camp and Cubs games. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Patricia is survived by her children, William B. Kopp, and Kimberly Kopp; and her grandchildren, William L. Kopp, and Madison S. Kopp.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Kopp; and her siblings, Carol Rathman and Richard White.

Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10 a.m. with a visitation thirty minutes prior, all at Faith Lutheran Church, 431 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
