PAUL PRINNER Obituary

Paul F. Prinner of Hampshire Paul F. Prinner, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, July 25, 2013, in his home. He was born April 23, 1927, in Chicago, the son of Paul and Elizabeth (Pieler) Prinner. Paul served in the US Army following World War II. He has been a Hampshire resident for over 60 years and had been employed at D. Hill Nursery, Lee Wards and Hoffer Plastics over the years. He was a proud member of VFW Post 8043, American Legion Post 680, and Amvets Post 90, all of Hampshire. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hampshire. Surviving are his children, Walter of Genoa, Terry (Berna) of North Aurora, Julia (Tom) Wilk of Henderson, Nev., Alan of Pittsfield, Mass., Lisa (Jerry) Lee of Follsom, CA, Lawrence (Sandra) of Hampshire and Stephen of South Elgin; 8 grandchildren; and a brother, John Prinner. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Violet Batcho; and two brothers, Andrew and Frank. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 3, at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire. Burial of cremains, with military honors, will be held in the Hampshire Center Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the local VFW or Amvets posts. For information, call 847-683-2711.
