Funeral services for Robbie Lou Elliott Murphy, 79, of Tylertown, Mississippi, will be held at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 3:00 PM, with Bro. Hong Yoo officiating. Interment will follow at Tylertown Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM. Mrs. Elliott passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. She was born March 15, 1942, in Tylertown, Mississippi, to the late Oral and Lou Elliott. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her former husband, Patrick Murphy; sister, Sylvia Bond; brother, David Elliott; and nephew, Bruce Bond. Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Arlington Heights School District #25 where she had served as a teacher for many years, most at Thomas Junior High. She considered her thousands of students her "Kids." Her co-workers were so dear to her heart, even after her retirement. She enjoyed taking care of her animals, singing, dressing up and going out, spending time in Pensacola on the beach, and getting to make memories with her loved ones. After retirement she maintained many close relationships with her Northern friends. Survivors include her daughter, Megan (Ryan) Andrews; granddaughter, Peyton Andrews; and sister, Betty Elliott; along with a host of cousins, friends, and loving family.
