ROBERT J. BOLLWEG

Robert J. Bollweg lifelong resident of Wheaton Robert J. Bollweg, 83, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011. Born Dec. 23, 1927, Bob graduated from St. Michael's School and Wheaton High School. In 1968, he founded Bob Bollweg Plumbing. An avid sportsman, Bob loved participating in all sports when he wasn't busy attending the sporting events of any of his grandchildren or great-grandchildren. A self-taught guitarist, Bob also sang in the church choir and the West Towns Barbershop Chorus. Bob was proud to have served his country as a member of the Army Air Corps and the Marine Corps. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, "Herbie" (nee Doyle); his loving children, Bonnie (Ron) Fedyski, Bob (Shawn), Peggy (Mike) Lowe, Margie (Angelo) Pilalis and Amy (Jim) Brinkman; 19 adoring grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, at St. Michael Church, Wheaton. Please meet at church. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
