RONALD C. FLUBACKER

1946 - 2018

BARRINGTON - Ronald C. Flubacker, 72, was born September 7, 1946 in Chicago. He passed away October 24, 2018. Ron is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat; children, Carlin (Greg) Shiffler, Kyle (Kristen) Flubacker, and Morgan (Neil Huffman) Flubacker; grandchildren, Lucia and Emma Shiffler, Cooper and Cheyenne Huffman, and Max Flubacker; and brothers, Robert (Tami), and Rich (Debbie) Flubacker. He was preceded in death by his parents , Charles and Muriel Flubacker. Ron was an artillery officer in the US Army during the Vietnam War, decorated with, among others, the Bronze Star Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. For nearly 40 years a self-employed architect in Barrington, where he resided most of his life, Ron loved collaborating with other professionals, building out his community, and most of all serving his many clients. Ron had a tender heart for his dogs, a deep and abiding love for his children and growing brood of grandchildren, and an unshakeable love for his wife and greatest treasure, Patricia. Visitation will be 4pm-8pm Sunday, October 28 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake Cook Road), Barrington.
