I l I very across the street in Hoffman Estates, I'll. One night I woke up sick with a very high fever and my mom who worked with Dr. Hudec at Northwest ran across the street, knocked on his door and asked if he could see me. He came to check on me and determined I had a severe case of scarlet fever. He took care of me and saw me through it I until he was s I re it didn't progress into Rheumatic Fever. I was 9 years old and thought he was the greatest. When I grew up I became a Medical Technologist and dedicated 50 years of my life to the type of testing he used on me. I always wanted to be a dedicated and caring professional like Dr
Hudec and my mom were. I never forgot his kindness and compassion to a 9 year old girl and his determination to stop the disease from even getting worse. You're all right, they don't make doctors like him much these days. I know as I worked elbow to elbow with many in Pathology.

My Great Grandma, Grandma, mom, and I all went to Dr. Hudec's. I credit him with saving my eyesight when I was a little kid, my parents called his office to tell him what was going-on and he met us at the hospital, looked at my eyes (some weird infection) and walked us to another doctor in the hospital and had us directly admitted. I remember my parents carrying me and following Doc in the hospital and him pointing at me while talking to the other doctor. Who does that now? It's been years now but he is sorely missed.

Alice, Margie and Family,
I was so sorry to hear that Doc has died. My son Steve called me from California to inform me of the sad news, he heard about it from Mike Flack. This is truly a small world.
I still remember the 21 years I worked for him. His sense of humor, gentleness, devotion to his patients and you, Margie, and the other girls made it so enjoyable to come to work everyday. Doc was not only the best boss but a great doctor and friend to our entire family and so grateful that he delivered11 of our 12 children. They still ask about him frequently, and I know he still holds a special place in their hearts as well as mine. He will never be forgotten.
RIP Doc, you are truly loved.
Our prayers and sympathy are extended to you and your entire family,
Diana Sillin and Family

Such a nice man, we loved going to see him. He always took time to talk to everyone, and had gummy worms for the kids. You could always count on him to squeeze you in no matter how busy he was. I always compared him to a country Dr. because he treated you like a friend, made you comfortable, and had great stories of the past. They don't make men like him anymore! So sorry for the Hudec families loss.

Dr. Hudec delivered my brother and my twin sister and I. I went to him into my adulthood until i moved away from the area. My parents continued to go to him for 50 years until his retirement. I remember when my parents Alice and Chuck Morgan told me he was retiring and they said they would never find another doctor like him. I always remember he made me less afraid when I was a kid and had to get a shot, he always made me laugh. He had a great sense of humor and bedside manner. You will be missed Dr. Hudec, you were what all doctors should be to their patients. God Bless you and your family. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

Dear Margie and family
I was so sad to hear about Dr. Hudec. He was a one in a million! Waiting an hour to see him wasn't a problem. You knew other patients had emergencies and were being taken care of. Just as people has waited during our emergencies. When Dr. Hudec refered you to another doctor you knew he trusted that doctor. I haven't found another doc like him! I will keep your family in my prayers. God Bless

Doc was funny, comforting, smart and generous with his time for his patients. The best of care was always given to our family for the forty-nine years he was "our" doc. My deepest sympathies to Margie and family in this time of sorrow. Prayers of consolation and peace be for each of you.

I am so sorry to hear that Dr. Hudec has passed away. He was my doctor since I was born and saw him until the day he retired. It was always a joy to see him even when I felt horrible. He always made me laugh and had that cute little grin. I spent many hours waiting in the hallway with my mom Carole waiting to be seen because the waiting room was filled. He was a great compassionate man and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers to you Margie and your family.

Dr.Hudec was by far the best doctor I have ever known. I was 10 years old when I had my first appointment with him. He was the only doctor I had until he retired and I am now 66 years old. I have never been able to find a doctor who comes close to replacing him. He was one of a kind. Your family should be very proud of him. My sincerest sympathies to your family.

He has been a hard act to follow. We have found a doctor that is good with kids this last year. Not all around good doctors. My youngest loved coming into dance with his singing fish (My Dad had one too...lol). My oldest two I will never forget him telling my oldest son who was complaining about his oldest sister, while looking at their throats well her guts are prettier than your ...lol, shut Anthony up. Calling Margie and being able to bring a car load at a time. He often talked about his six and I had six...lol...When I wanted to have #3 natural or with hypnosis everyone else laughed or just said no,he sent me to Dr. Howell we did it with Hypnosis. When Aubrie had a growth on her throat we lived in Dekalb, no one would help her. Dr. Hudec did we had to go to Arlington Heights but we had tried for weeks here and only got referrals that went nowhere. My oldest son has both forms of epilpsy he sent us to Luthern General, and we ended up at Childrens. He still has seizures but wonderful doctors he is working and 28 years old. My youngest son was hit by a car and remembers when he was sick and Dr. sent us to the hospital he had pneumonia,
Thank you God for Dr. Hudec and Margie. God bless you all and R.I.P. Dr. Hudec.

My sympathy to the Hudec family. Dr. Hudec delivered me 51 years ago. My family still tells stories about Dr. Hudec and the day I was born. He always made me laugh as a kid-he was kind and warm. I'm so sad to hear the news of his passing. He was wonderful to our whole family. Rest in Peace.

What a punch in the gut. I can't believe he's gone. He was my doctor and my best friend's dad. Makes me think of 1969 and Ron Santo clicking his heels. At least he got to see them win. I'll miss him very much.

Dr. Hudec was the long-time physician for our family of nine. The youngest, I was just five the first time my Mother took me to see him, and well into my 20s the last time he treated me. I don't know that a nicer, kinder, more compassionate man ever walked the earth.

It was just a few years ago that I was introduced to Susan at, I believe, an event at the Union League Club. When I learned who her father was, I said that in our house his name was always mentioned with the same hushed tones of respect as the Pope and St. Patrick. I was delighted to learn at the time that he was well and happily enjoying his well-deserved retirement.

Your entire family will be remembered in our family's prayers of gratitude for a man who gave so much of himself to his devoted patients. He was a true blessing in our lives.

In peace and sympathy,
