RUSSELL RADKIEWICZ

Russell Radkiewicz Russell Radkiewicz, age 79, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023. He was born on September 10, 1943, in Chicago, IL to Raymond and Anna Marie Radkiewicz. He was a US Air Force Veteran serving our country for 4 years. Russ was united in marriage on April 8, 1967 to Maryann Gilmore. He was a computer programmer for many years working for Honeywell, Digital and lastly at Northern Trust. Russ was a Lifetime 4th Degree member of the St. Mary's Parish Knights of Columbus Fr. Gaffney Council # 1555 and Bishop Romeo Blanchette Assembly 3044, member of the West Chicago Lions Club and former 3rd Ward Alderman in West Chicago. He enjoyed volunteering and giving his time to the community. Russ was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church and Resurrection Church in Wayne where he sang in the choir. He loved reading and loved his family dearly. Russ is survived by his sons, John, Brian, and Roger Radkiewicz; granddaughter, Megan Rose; brother, Richard; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Maryann in January 2023, brothers, Raymond, and Ronald. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at St. Mary's Church, 164 N. Oakwood Ave., West Chicago at 10:00 am. Interment private.
