Sandy's smile had a way of brightening any room she would walk into. Even after seven years that is the first thing I think of when I think of her. Even longer than that, it during high school--her smile lightening up the halls in between classes. I always loved when I would happen to see you and Sandy in town, Jim. There are different levels of friendship, and even though we were never that close that does not prevent me from knowing Sandy was a genuinely nice person. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you, and know she is your Guardian Angel.

I was thinking recently about it being a year anniversary of Sandy's death and then saw this post of the guest book being taken off soon. I still pray for the Gaszynski Family and think of how lovely Sandy was. Was proud to have her as my friend and only good thoughts of her being a part of my life! My thoughts and prayers will continue for everyone!

Jim and Family, I received notice this guest book is just at about one year. I know in some ways it seems like Sandy has been gone only a few days. Yet, in some ways, it seems like forever. I know how much you must still hurt. Cherish those fond memories. I enjoyed seeing the pictures posted, they are proof Sandy loved to smile and make others smile. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Signed, a Classmate of Sandy and Jim's.

Dear Jim, Jim Jr., Michael, and Richard, I was so sorry to hear from my kids about the tragic and senseless loss you are trying to cope with now. I have so many fond memories of our shared times with Little League...the games, socialization, and watching our kids have fun together. I will never forget Sandy's eager smile and enthusiasm for her boys! You are all in my heart and prayers. ~Kathy (Sawkiw) Savage

My prayers & sympathy for the Gaszynski family. Our world has lost a truly beautiful person in so many ways. Sandy & I have stayed in touch over the years since our move out of state. Sandy reached out to me after learning of the passing of our son & I'll never forget her inspirational words, heart of kindness & support from across the miles. Her ability to see into our sadness and provide us comfort will never be forgotten. We'll never know God's plan but, I've learned as a survivor of great loss, it's God's love for us that allows us to go on. Rather than to learn living without our loved one, we've learned how to live with them in a different way. It was Sandy's shining personality & warmth that will continue to live within our hearts.

Jim, Laura, & family,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I have such fond memories of her - she was a great lady. I especially remember how she loved taking pictures! Many years ago, I ran into her at Stratford Square mall and she quickly pulled out her wallet to show me pictures of the two of you and Mike and Rich as well. She was clearly proud of her family and loved you all dearly.
Take care,
Joseph McElroy

My name is Joe McElroy. I worked with Sandy at Roanoke for close to 10 years. She was always happy and made the best out of everyday. The one memory that really touched my heart was one day, I get a phone call that my mother was diagnosed with cancer. I starting crying. Sandy heard what was going on and came over to see if I was okay. She hugged me and told me if I ever needed someone to talk to she was there. This definitely showed that Sandy had a great heart. She will definitely be missed by all. God be with her.
