SANDRA L. "SANDI" SNELL

Sandra L. "Sandi" Snell, 72, passed away on January 31, 2024, in The Villages, FL. She was born September 17, 1951, in Waukegan, IL, and was a longtime resident of Lake County, IL graduating from Warren Township High School in 1969. After graduation, Sandi attended the American Floral Art School in Chicago, IL. Soon after she began her floral career at her family business, Proctors Florist in 1970. She later opened and ran her own floral shop, Sandi's Cottage Florist for many years before retiring to Florida in 2015. She had been an active member of Community Protestant Church in Mundelein, IL and was a proud Rotarian with the Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club in Libertyville. Sandi enjoyed golfing, hosting and cooking for family and friends. Her move to Fruitland Park, in the Lakeside Terrace community was the highlight of her life. She was so grateful to make so many friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her 3 loving sisters, Margo (Russell) Paramski, Laurie (Dean) Olerich and Bobbie (Russ) Wydeen; biological daughter, Terra Bower Mener and her son, Curtis; nieces and nephews, Joshua (Tamara), Kyle Paramski, Nicole (Joe) Zavatsky, Patrick (Kate) Olerich and Annika Wydeen; 8 great-nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Dee Serdar; sister-in-law, Susan (Rick), brother-in-law Gary (Debbie); and stepson, Sam Serdar. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Evangeline "Vannie" Snell; and her husband, David Serdar. A private burial will be at a later date.
