STEPHANIE KABOT

Stephanie (Nawoj) Kabot, 100, formerly of Skokie, IL and Chicago, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, in Eugene, OR. She was born on January 6, 1921, in Chicago, IL. Stephanie graduated from Tuley High School in Chicago, IL. She met her true love Edward Sr., whom she married on June 24, 1945, after Ed Sr. returned from the Marine Corps, while serving on active duty in WWII. Their marriage saw the birth of their two children, Ed Jr. (Ellen) and Carole (Robert) Hausmann. Stephanie and Ed Sr. enjoyed the company of their grandchildren Erin and Tracey Kabot and Blake and Brandon Hausmann. After retirement, Stephanie and Ed Sr. moved to Eugene, OR., to be close to their daughter, Carole and her family. They enjoyed married life for over 65 years, until Ed Sr. passed away in 2010. Stephanie had the biggest heart, always giving all of her devotion to Ed Sr., sharing her love with her children and grandchildren, and never forgetting those who were near and dear to her. She was a very caring mother-in-law to both Ellen Kabot and Robert Hausmann. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Jozef and Antonina Nawoj; her loving husband; siblings, Marie (Louis) Mika, Josephine (Ted) Mika and John Navoy. She is survived by her sister, Rose (Bruno) Sliz. Stephanie will be cremated in Eugene, OR. and her ashes will be joined eternally forever with her loving husband, Ed Sr. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
