Steven Krysiak Obituary

Steven Bruce Krysiak Steven Bruce Krysiak died in Las Vegas, from a sudden and unexpected heart attack. Private family services celebrating Steve's life were held in Las Vegas. Steve was born April 18, 1955, in Chicago. He was the third of five children raised by his parents, Robert and Joyce, in Arlington Heights, Ill. Steve attended Windsor Grade School, Miner Junior High, St, Viator High School and Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. During his entire work life, Steve was a loyal and dedicated employee, employed primarily by Wolverine Worldwide. Steve held numerous sales and managerial positions, including 10 years as regional manager, overseeing stores throughout the Southwest. Steve added a great deal of value by training, coaching, and mentoring many over his 35-year career. Although Steve performed well in his scholastic endeavors as well as his career, his true passions lay elsewhere. Listening to his favorite performer, Santana; wearing a Panama hat; hitting a "high 5-wood" to the tightest pin; watching and critiquing... and quoting... any number of comedies; voraciously devouring adventure and thriller books; and playing gin, hearts, or spades with his golfing and leisure buddies all brought a smile to Steve's face. The greatest love of Steve's life was his wife Patty. They were truly made for each other. Married in Charleston, S.C., on May 30, 1993, they enjoyed sharing their home with their friends and beloved cats in sunny Las Vegas. As a couple, they shared the love of movies, prime time TV, and connecting with their family and friends either in person or virtually. Steve was predeceased by his parents and older brother, Robert. He is survived by his wife, Patty of Las Vegas; his brothers, Mike and Mark of Chicago; his sister, Mary Krysiak Bonner of Dallas; his brother-in-law, Wynn; and his nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. Steve wishes to continue his devotion to others by requesting donations to the American Heart Association, (www.americanheart.org) or the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation (www.koman.org).

I'm still so shocked that you've been taken from us. You were a GREAT brother and will be missed. Give mom, bob and dad a big "high five" for me. Tell them that we'll see them soon and that Mark is going to be ok.

Love ya!
