Thomas A. Carlson of Rolling Meadows Prayers for Thomas A. Carlson, 71, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road (½ block east of Route 53), Rolling Meadows, proceeding to St. Colette Church, 3900 Meadow Drive, Rolling Meadows, for a Mass at 10 a.m., and he will be laid to rest at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the funeral home. Born June 27, 1937, in Chicago, he passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Northwest Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Tom served his country in the Marine Corps from 1956 to 1962, and retired after 35 years working for Commonwealth Edison. Tom is survived by his beloved and cherished wife, Olga. He was the loving father of Dan (Julie) and Steve (Adrienne); and dearest grandfather to his pride and joy, Lindsay, Cary, Tyler, Paige, Trevor, Samantha and Kelly. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.
