I am so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of Tom Klepek, our Sales Leader and Friend from Riddell Sports, most important, the loss of your Loving Husband and Father of your 2 sons. I have been with Riddell for 7 years and Tom showed who he was as a Human Being so many times in those 7 years, with his care and compassion for his fellow employees, who he always referred to, at our Annual Sales Meeting, as his Riddell Family! I could see from my first introduction to Tom Klepek, he was a person with Emotions and Love in his heart! My wife and I will pray for Tom and you and your 2 sons!
GOD BLESS TOM KLEPEK, NANCY, PATRICK AND TIM!!

It is difficult to find words that accurately describe the feeling when we lose a friend or loved one. Tom was a competitor of mine who grew into a friend. He was an easy man to respect because he made a difference in everything he touched. He will be missed by an industry, but much more so by his family and friends.

Tom Klepek set a great example about goal setting.
In August, 1974 we were both in our first week, perhaps our second day at St. Joseph College. Tom was sitting on the top bunk and I was sitting across from him in his dorm room: second floor of Bennett Hall. We were talking about where our college journey would take us.
Tom made this statement to me: “Max, people think I'm stupid because I am a P. E. Major but I am going to be president of my company some day. My license plate will read “PE MAJOR”.
I don't think Tom ever wanted to be defined solely by his job but it sure was fun watching his progress in 30+ years at what now is Riddell.
True to his word, because I brought it up often, “When are you getting the vanity plate?”
Tom always said: “Max, I'm not president yet!”
Tom was a kind and quiet guy who was thoughtful and generous, too.
The last time we were out together, I introduced him to the President of Hope Academy, an independent school on Chicago's West Side. Right away, Tom offered a donation of sports equipment to the school. “Give me your card.” Tom asked. On the way home, I brought it up and he told me that Hope Academy obviously needed it and he had it to give.
Tom Klepek set a great example of how to make the most of his talents.
To Nancy and the boys, thanks for sharing your husband and father with us!

I first met Tom over 20 years ago at an
AD golf outing. We had so much fun that he became a regular in our foursome every year. He had a big laugh and a big heart. We enjoyed many good times together. He reached out to me during a tough time in my life and I'll never forget him for that. He loved his family, job and friends. My thoughts are with his family; he will be missed.

It would take volumes to write about Tom... he was one of a kind. His indescribable laugh, the curls... His fierce determination to get the job done was exhausting, but he was right there working beside you all the time. My heart goes out to Nancy and the family... Tom adored you and you were his world! I am so grateful to have seen him at Don's wake and gotten one last hug!

Nancy and Family, So many fun memories I have of Tom and you from our Puma days and beyond. I really want to be there on Monday but finding it hard to make it from Georgia. It's killing me not to be there and be able to share and hear all the great stories about our beloved Chippy. I am so very sorry for your loss and I will be in touch soon. I am sending a huge hug for you. I can't get that Tom Klepek smile off my mind.
