Thomas Peterson Obituary
Thomas Peterson, 83, of Aurora, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Beloved husband of Leanne (Lesnik) for 42 years. Loving father of Drew Rouse (Megan Pacelt); and adored grandpa of Theodora and Asta. He adored his extended family: Lisa Howell (Chuck), Sandi Malone (Scott), and he cherished his nephews, Matt Peterson (Paula), Mitchell Malone, Christian Howell and Derek Malone and great-nephew, Axel Peterson.
Tom will be remembered by his infectious laugh, sense of humor, and genuine love for his entire family. He was always the life of the party. He was a devoted "dog dad." He was loved by all that knew him and will be missed beyond words.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Axel and Rebecca Peterson.
He was a proud Army veteran and will have a service at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date.

We are grateful for Tom´s military service and we have donated a monetary gift to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory. We have treasured the stories our nephew Matt Peterson has shared with us of Tom and Leanne´s support of him over the years.

Thanks for the memories Tom; I always looked forward to seeing you at Christmas & hearing stories of your travels & hearing you laugh. You gave the best Christmas gifts too! And of course, all of your cars. You were a great uncle to Matt!
