TIMOTHY JOHN HERLEHY

Timothy John Herlehy of Batavia Timothy John Herlehy, 72, formerly of Lisle, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Delnor Community Hospital. He was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Perry, Iowa, the son of Donald James "Blue" and Eleanor (nee Loftus) Herlehy. Tim shared the last 40 years with his loving wife of 27 years, Janet Fane-Kime. Tim was an accomplished entrepreneur, getting his start in the family excavating business, Herlehy Excavating. He also developed several successful bar and restaurant businesses, including Papa's III on Lincoln Avenue in Chicago, Apple Pub in Chicago, Four Lakes Pub in Lisle and Del Debbio's in Lisle. In recent years, Tim owned and operated Circle H Car Washes in Arizona. Tim served as a board member at Forest Park National Bank and as president of the board at Altenheim Retirement Community in Forest Park. He served as president of Marmion Academy Sports Boosters. He also contributed to the Elmhurst and Lisle youth sports programs, volunteering on committees and coaching several sports. He was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Janet; his children, Jeff (Julia) Kime of Bolingbrook, Jim (Tracy) Kime of Wheaton, Jackie (Patrick) Harvey of North Aurora, Tim (Linda) Herlehy Jr. of St. Charles, Michael (Sherri) Herlehy of Bartlett, Jollene (Michael) Jones of Lindenhurst and Luke Herlehy of Phoenix, Ariz.; and adored grandfather of 10 grandchildren, Kristine, Andrew and Ashley Kime, Connor, McKenna, Madison and Francesca Herlehy, Michael and Grace Jones and Michael Smid. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his two brothers, Donald James "Jimmy" and Denis Michael Herlehy. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. (Route 31), Batavia, Ill. Funeral services will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, at the funeral home, before proceeding to Annunciation Catholic Church, 1820 Church Road, Aurora, Ill., to celebrate Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at 12 noon on Friday, March 30, at Oak Wood Cemetery, Dixon, Ill.
