VERDELL JANE "DELL" WOOLLARD

1942 - 2021

Verdell Jane "Dell" Woollard (nee Didier) formerly Weber, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2021 at Randall Residence of McHenry. She was born on January 23, 1942 in Evanston, the daughter of James Henry and Verdell Evelyn Didier. Dell was a longtime resident of the Northwest suburbs until relocating to Florida in late 2000, returning to Illinois to be closer to her family in early 2017. She adored her pets especially her many parrots she had while living in Florida. Dell was proud of her many accomplishments especially of being Florida State Horseshoe Pitchers Women's Champion in 2005 and 2007, 2008, and 2009. She was inducted into the Florida State Horseshoe Pitchers Association Hall of Fame in 2009. She is survived by her children, Karen (Michael) Cummings, Jodi (Richard) Clute, Russell (Amy) Weber, and Eric (Dawn) Weber; her grandchildren, Joshua Heerdegen, Allison (Zachariah) Foreman, Richard Weber, Emily Weber, Mattie Weber, and Lindsay Weber; her great-grandchildren, Greyson and Tucker Foreman; her siblings, Joyce (Douglas) Knapp and James Didier Jr.; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Verdell Didier. Private family service will take place on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Colonial Funeral Home, McHenry, followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Memorial service celebrating Dell's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to The Michael J.
