I had the good fortune of Dell's friendship. We met through the Greater Brandon Avian Society and loved sharing stories about our feather friends. She was a devoted volunteer at the Birds of Paradise rescue. Always willing to help. I have wonderful memories of our time together. I will always remember Dell for her sweet smile, kindness, and loving heart. Thankful she was a part of my life. My condolences to her family. May her beautiful memories comfort you.

I first met Dell at the bird club, the Greater Brandon Avian Society. At that time, probably at least fifteen years ago, she was the Secretary of the club. I joined and eventually became Treasurer. We became a team. Our mutual love of birds cemented our friendship. We called each other 'sisters'. We volunteered on many projects. Nothing seemed like work because it was what we loved. Those were the good old days. I'll miss you Dell. Rest in peace.

My sincere condolences. My wife passed away from similar complications of Parkinson's Disease five years ago. Gloria Schroeck is a close friend of mine. She has often spoken of Dell. Gloria considered Dell a best friend and has missed her ever since she left Florida.

So sorry to hear of Verdells passing. I will always remember her as a very happy person full of life! I pray your many happy memories carry you through this time of sorrow Knowing she is now safely home is a great comfort!

When I was 16 Dell was my dearest friend and companion. She introduced me to the Didier family for which I have been eternally grateful. Thank you Amy for being there for her through the tough times. God bless and keep you and all Dell's wonderful family close and loving during this sad time. Lisa Didier

Besides being Florida Women's State Horseshoe Pitching Champion, Dell generously gave her time and talents to the Florida State Horseshoe Pitchers Association by serving as Statistician and on the Executive Council for many years. I had the privilege of working with her closely during many state tournaments and club team tournaments. She had a big heart and was always willing to help in any way she could. I will always remember sitting side by side with her, checking and rechecking scores,...
