Walter Edward Osmund

Walter Edward Osmund of Libertyville for 54 years Walter Edward Osmund, 91, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at Lake Forest Hospital. Private family funeral services will be held at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, Libertyville. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery. He was born April 30, 1916, in Chicago. Mr. Osmund had been the owner of the City Service gas station, which was located at Maple and Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville. He had also owned and operated two other gas stations in Half Day and Melrose Park. Walter is survived by his wife, Margaret (nee Fitz), to whom he was married for 60+ years; children, Walter E. Osmund Jr. of Libertyville, Florence N. Osmund of Chicago, Margaret E. Bousson of Libertyville and Donald C. Osmund of Libertyville; grandchildren, Michael (Lacee) Osmund, Kristen Osmund and David Bousson; and a great-grandchild, Tysen Osmund. For information, 847-362-2626.
