WALTER A. SETLOCK

1923 - 2018

Walter A. Setlock passed away peacefully at his residence at the Arboria of Long Grove, IL on December 3, 2018 at the age of 95. Walter is survived by his wife, Victoria; his children, Carol (Isaac) Barfield, Walter (Suzanne) and Bruce (Sandy) Setlock; grandchildren, Catie, Brian, Rachel, Matt and Michael; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Reagan. Walter was preceded in death by his siblings, Stella Ball, Matt and Edward. Wally was born on August 25, 1923 in Vulcan, MI to Stanley and Agnes Setlock. He married Victoria Ziulek on November 11, 1944. Through the years, Walter and Victoria resided in Chicago, Bartlett, Roselle and Lake Zurich. Walter will forever be remembered as a patient and gentle man, loving of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; caring and respectful of everyone he met. He will be missed by all. The family would like to thank the many caregivers of Arboria of Long Grove and Heartland Hospice for the care, dedication and compassion extended to our father over the past months. You are special. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.
