William Barrett Trumbull William Barrett Trumbull died unexpectedly on Friday, May 13, 2011, at Naples Community Hospital. He would have celebrated his 66th birthday on May 30. Bill is survived by his adoring wife, Gail Wittenberg-Trumbull (nee Thill). He has one son, Keith Trumbull of Colorado; one daughter, Mellissa. Trumbull of Oregon, Ill.; two grandchildren, Riley and Isaac Ehmke of Oregon, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Sherri (Michael) Lindsey and Kirsten Baseley (nee Wittenberg); one stepson, Matthew (Edith) Ruberti of Illinois; four stepgrandchildren, Samantha Lindsey, Andrea (Joshua) Worley, Anna Ruberti and Patricia Doyle; as well as four great-stepgrandchildren. He is also survived by his Lhasa Apso, Brandy, who loved her dad with all her heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Alice (nee Barrett) Trumbull. He will be sorely missed by his many, many friends who loved him dearly. Bill was a gentle man who graced the lives of everyone who knew him. Bill was a veteran of the Army and served his country in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1972. Bill relocated to Naples, Fla. in 2003 from Wauconda, where he worked with his wife in her floral business. Prior to that, he was a longtime bank officer in Schaumburg and worked in the public works department in Arlington Heights. Bill was also a longtime friend of Bill W. Visitation will be held at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary, from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 19. Funeral services will be officiated by the Rev. C. Gregory Jones at the funeral home on Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m., followed by interment in Windridge Memorial Gardens, Cary. A celebration of his life will be held in Naples at a later date.
