Jesse Langley Obituary


Jesse Daniel Langley, Jr., 79, of Bodega Bay, CA, passed away in a tragic accident off the coast of Bodega Bay on November 1, 2014 when his boat capsized taking the life of Jesse and three of his friends. Jesse was born July 17, 1935 in Oklahoma. He was a long time resident of Marysville before moving to Bodega Bay 25 years ago.

He worked in the forestry business, owned and operated a firewood business. Since moving to Bodega Bay, he owned and operated a commercial fishing boat. His passions have been hunting, fishing and scuba diving.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Daniel Langley, Sr. and Nellie Mae Griffin Langley; also sisters, Elsie Mae Langley, Mattie Lee Latta, Ethel Mae Langley and Edna Bernice Self.

He is survived by his children, Curtis Langley, Vicki (Langley) Shawles and Ladonna Choate, all of the Marysville area; and sister, Mary Opal Sexton; grandchildren, Justin Shawles, Jarred Shawles, Kristen Walker, Brett Walker, Amanda Choate, Roxanne Galloway, Charlie Rose Langley and Mikayla Gardner Langley, and eight great-grandchildren.
