Born in Talladega, Alabama on June 13, 1999, LaCorey Curry, Jr. affectionately known as "Trap Curry" was a radiant soul whose passion for life and love for others illuminated the paths of all who knew him. A cherished son of LaCorey Curry, Sr. and Kizzy Mann, LaCorey accepted Christ at a tender age and embraced his faith through his membership at Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ. In his later years, he found a loving community at The Word Center Ministries, where he thrived under the guidance of Dr. Darius Williams. Educated within the Talladega City School System, LaCorey excelled at Talladega High School, and after his academic journey, he delved into his passion for music-a dream that fueled his spirit. Music resonated deeply within LaCorey's soul, inspiring him to aspire to greatness as a rapper, even as he dreamt of one day investing in an NBA team. Not only did he enjoy listening to music, but he loved making videos relating to his life, community, and family. Beyond his love for music, he was a devoted father, finding joy in his cherished children, Ja'Kayden, Nyree, Ni'Cordian, and Khine. Family was the melody that filled his heart, and his laughter danced through gatherings with loved ones and friends. Known for his vibrant fashion sense that made a bold statement wherever he went, LaCorey possessed a unique flair that complemented his charismatic personality. LaCorey was also a lover of gaming, finding solace in his PlayStation and nurturing his competitive spirit on the basketball court, where he truly shone. His family and community will forever carry the weight of their loss, while simultaneously celebrating the indelible mark he left upon their lives. As time winds its course, we look ahead to a future where LaCorey's spirit transcends this earthly realm, as he embarks on his journey towards eternal peace.
