Marilyn Dusenberry Obituary

PELL CITY - Marilyn Dusenberry, age 61, of Pell City, passed away on April 28, 2009. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Decker; and sister, Sandra Devitis. She is survived by her son, Patrick Dusenberry; loving mother, Cora Ruth Decker; twin sister, Carolyn Decker; brother, Charles Decker; brother, Terry Decker (wife Jodi); sister, Sherry Scott (husband Bryan); and a host of nieces and nephews. Marilyn retired as an eye technician at UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, Calif. She returned to her Alabama home in 1993. Marilyn was a kind, fun loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a ray of sunshine to everyone that she came in contact with. She put up a valiant fight against cancer. Marilyn has now returned to her eternal home with her Lord and Savior. Funeral service will be Friday, May 1, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home with visitation from 11 a.m-1 p.m. The Rev. Kenneth Wilkins will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.
