Mrs. Nancy C. Wood

Funeral services for Nancy C. Wood will be Thursday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at Talladega Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Minter officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Methodist Church in Lincoln. Visitation will be Wednesday at Talladega Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Nancy Wood, a retiree from the Industries of the Blind, died at her home July 19, 2009. She was a devoted Christian and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Wood; her parents, Curtis and Rosa Creel; two brothers, E.Q. Creel and L.H. Creel; and one sister, Verdis Wade. Ms. Wood is survived by one brother, J.P. Creel of Mississippi; two sons, Chuck Wood and wife Mary Jane of Hattisburg, MS, and Steve Wood and wife Darcy of Talladega; two daughters, Ann Jones and husband Thomas of Talladega and Nita Thompson and husband Roger of Munford; four grandchildren, Brandy Burton of Oxford, Richard Scoggins of California, Brad Wood of Mississippi, and Jim Wood of Mississippi; and three great grandchildren, Kylie Burton, Lindsey Burton and Madison Hughes. Pallbearers will be Ray Miller, Jerry Ramsey, Shaffer Griffen, Steve Phillips, Bill Haynes, Ricky Daughtery. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Barton, Johnny Granger, Paul Haywood, Eddie Duncan, Wendell McMichen, Jimmy Jordan, AIDB friends, and all church family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Lakeside Hospice, P.O. Box 544, Pell City, AL 35125. Special thanks to Lakeside Hospice and friends and family for all their prayers.
