Taylor "Tay/T-Low" Powell

A Celebration Remembering the Life of Taylor "Tay/T-Low" Powell, 26, of Powder Springs, Georgia, will be held on, Saturday, January 16, at 3:00 p.m. at S. M. Goodson Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Antonio Barkley officiating. Interment will follow in Lillie Rhoden Cemetery in Childersburg, Alabama. A public viewing for Mr. Powell will be held on today, Friday, January 15, 2021 from 1-6 p.m. at S.M. Goodson Funeral Home. Professional services entrusted to S.M. Goodson Funeral Home-Talladega. Taylor Powell was born on October 30, 1994 to Mrs. Myra Powell Malone in Austell, Georgia. At an early age, Taylor accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia where he served on the usher board. As a child, Taylor attended Tapp Middle School and was a 2014 graduate of McEachern High School. Taylor, known as "Tay/T-Low" by many, loved and enjoyed his family and having fun. In the early morning hour on Friday, January 8, 2021, Taylor was unexpectedly called to his eternal resting place. Taylor was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry "Smokey" Stamps, Jr. and his uncle, Timothy Williams. Loving memories of Taylor will forever be remembered and cherished by his mother, Myra Powell Malone of Powder Springs, GA; his twin brother, Terrence Powell of Powder Springs, GA; two sisters, Ashley Bates and Shaniya House, both of Powder Springs, GA; grandparents, Benny Powell, Sr. and Marinell Dill Powell of Powder Springs, GA; six uncles, Antonio Garrett, Jamal Stamps, Carlton Powell, Benny Powell, Jr., and Christopher Powell; four aunts, Bernadette Stamps, Joi Stamps, Tracy Patterson and Tovoria Thomas, five great-aunts, Mary Reeves of Talladega, Alabama, Flora (Tom) Hunley of Talladega, Alabama, Beverly Stamps (Steve) Morrison of Indianapolis, IN, Brenda Stamps (Cheyenne) Curry of Talladega, Alabama, and Prudence Williams; one great-uncle, Kenneth Stamps of Talladega, Alabama; two nephews, Elijah Braswell and Diye Chaucel Bailey, Jr.; three special God brothers, Jared Walker, Nicholas Walker, and Fredrick Brown; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. "Tay/T-Low" will truly be missed in his community, by his real friends, loved ones, and by all the hearts he touched. His remains rest at S. M.
