Timothy Heath Obituary

Timothy Dewayne "Tim" Heath was born December 5th, 1967 in Talladega, AL to Barbra and Wren Heath. Tim grew up in a loving family where he spent most of his time riding dirt bikes and squirrel hunting in the woods with his brother, Greg. Tim first started dating his wife, Melanie, in January of 1984 when he was only 16 years old. From that point on, they were inseparable. They often got a Pizza Hut pizza and watched a movie at his house on the couch. In college they endured fraternity parties together, as Tim was an officer. They proclaimed their love on December 29, 1990, by beginning their marriage. A few short years later God gifted them with their son Peyton. Every opportunity he had he would take Peyton to Talladega Tractor to sit on the tractors for as long as he wanted. Tim enjoyed teaching Peyton how to golf and taking him to batting practice, eventually building him his own batting cage. Not long after, God gave them a baby girl, Mary Caroline, who stole his heart. They would regularly dance in the dining room together, and he was always a willing spectator for her dance routines. They had a special bond and every night they would do their special routine-I love you angel, flipper, noggin, dude, sweet, totally. In his recent years, Tim cherished the time he spent with his family, especially watching Alabama football games. Every fall he would spend hours enjoying God's creation in a tree stand. Emmet, his grandson, was the joy of his life. Emmet loved hanging out with his favorite "Pabo." Like clockwork, every evening when Tim would get home, he would spend time playing fetch with his sidekick, Ruby, his lab who adored him. Although Tim's earthly fight ended September 24, 2025, he knew and loved Jesus well. He was a faithful member of Church of the Highlands, in Sylacauga. Every Tuesday for the past several years he enjoyed fellowship with his small group, who continually spoke life into him. He was constantly supported by his devoted and attentive wife throughout his sickness. Tim always showed patience with a gentle spirit towards everyone he met. Tim leaves behind cherished memories for his surviving wife, Melanie Heath, along with his children, Peyton Heath and wife, Ollie of Talladega, AL, Mary Caroline Fields and husband, Colin of Auburn, AL; grandson, Timothy Emmet Wayne Fields of Auburn, AL; parents, Wren and Barbra Heath of Talladega, AL; brother Greg Heath and wife, Teresa of Talladega, AL; cherished in-laws, Jo and Don Fulbright of Ashland, AL, and a number of other loved family members and friends. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Zeke Walters and Charles Kelly officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Robert Smith, Alan Parnell, Randall Burnett, Guy Knight, Phillip Brooke, Steve Moses, Brian Medders, and Craig Miller will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Heath's family asks that donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital online at www.stjude.org, by phone at 1-800-805-5856, or by mail at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
