Elaine Moothart Obituary

Elaine Rose (Barry) Moothart, 96

Elaine Rose (Barry) Moothart was a caring sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to many nieces, nephews and cousins. Elaine left this world on August 22nd, 2025 at the age of 96. She passed peacefully, of natural causes with her family in attendance.

Elaine was born here in Kalispell, at the family farm along with her other siblings, 5 in total. She was the last of her siblings, an older sister Adline Wendel, Ernie Barry, Alroy Barry, and Ralph Barry. She left a son and daughter, 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Elaine loved to bake homemade bread and cookies for us. She welcomed family and friends in for coffee and cookies or fresh baked bread. She would crochet, knit and sew making slippers, mittens, coats and blankets for her family. She loved us unconditionally and was always there for us when we needed her.

She knew her love Wayne Moothart from high school. She would say he was a flirt and wasn't sure about him. After he came back from WW2 they dated, they got married on April 29, 1948. They were together for 74 years. They loved the outdoors, motorcycles, snowmobiles, side x sides, boating, camping, snow birding, whatever it was they did it together. They had many adventures and now she joins him for their next adventure.

No services will be held at her request. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.
