Myrtle Langton Obituary

Myrtle "Babe" Wixson Langton, 92

Myrtle Langton, a life-long resident of Montana, passed away January 24 in Columbia Falls. Myrtle was born August 8,1933 in Belt, Montana to William "Howard" & Hazel Wixson. She attended grade and high school and lived most of her life in Columbia Falls.

Babe was introduced to the love of her life, Ted Langton, by her parents. They had 63 years together before his death in 2016. She had a career at Plum Creek Lumber and raised two children while Ted travelled to jobs as a pipe fitter. Babe enjoyed hosting card parties and social hours for their circle of friends. She worked as a volunteer at the Clothes Closet for numerous years. She and Ted loved their retirement years filled with fishing, camping, golf & travel to many places. They especially enjoyed their 17 years of winters as snowbirds in Wellton, Arizona. Babe was a grandmother in the best sense of the word, insisting to her son-in-law that there was nothing wrong with ice cream & pancakes for breakfast while her grandchildren were in her home. A Mariner fan who watched all their televised games, she loved her chance to watch them play live at Safeco Field.

Myrtle is survived by her son Dennis Langton, Columbia Falls, daughter Diane Jenkins and son-in-law Timothy, grandchildren Gina and husband Brandon Jenkins-Moak, Kara and Jackson, all of Federal Way, Washington.

Cremation has taken place and corresponding with her wishes there will be no memorial service.
