Chris Volz Obituary

Chris E. Volz III, 63, passed away in Greenwood on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. He was a resident of Greenwood, Indiana.

He was born to Chris E. Volz II and Judy (Koenig) Volz on September 18, 1955 in Batesville, Indiana.

Chris is survived by his father, Chris Volz II; daughters, Kai (Volz) Smith and her husband, Ryan, of Greenwood, and Lehua (Volz) Ponder and her husband, Drew, of Bargersville, son, Kekoa Kaminski of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and daughter, Meiling Kaminski of Indianapolis; sister, Cindy Hubler of Greenwood; and brother, Joe Volz of Milan. He is preceded in passing by his mother, Judy.

Chris was a 1973 graduate of Milan High School. He attended Milligan University and University of South Florida. He played football and was on the water skiing team during his collegiate years. He spent his life working in the automotive business.

He was a member of Emmanuel Church of Greenwood. He was also a member of the Milan American Legion.

Rev. Marion Glover will conduct a celebration of Chris's life on Sunday, October 21nd at 4:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) Franklin, Indiana 46131. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Craven Cemetery in Milan, Indiana on Monday, October 22nd at 12:00 p.m. (Noon).

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Emmanuel Church, 1640 W. Stones Crossing Road Greenwood, Indiana 46131.
