Joseph Breyer Obituary

Joseph Greenwood F. Breyer Joseph Breyer of Greenwood, Indiana, a cherished individual known for his kind, loving, caring and humorous personality was called to Heaven on July 7,2025. Born on June 15, 1956, Joe lived a life full of passion and love for his family.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Eugene Sr. and Mary Frances Breyer and his sister Mary Ann Kaufhold. He is survived by his wife Lili (Ciston) and son Peter, brothers Gene and Meem Breyer, Dave Breyer, sister Mary Ann and John Kaufhold. Many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives.

Joe grew up in the Cincinnati area and was an active sports fan. He was a life-long fan of the Cincinnati Reds and his alma mater the UC Bearcats. Had a passion for many sports but his favorite was skiing. He belonged to the Oak Park Illinois ski club. He took many

trips around the world to test the powder at various ski resorts and created life-long friends.

He loved music and played the clarinet and cello. In High School and College, he was active in the Marching band. He was so proud when his son, Pete followed in his footsteps with his love of music and decision to get his degree in music.

Joe loved to travel with his family and experience all life had to offer. As we grapple with the loss of his physical presence, we find solace that we had Joe in our life and have wonderful memories that will live on in our hearts.

Services will be held Friday, July 11th at 3:00pm with visitation immediately following until 8:00pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main Street Greenwood Indiana. Burial will be Saturday July 12th at 12:00pm at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 11000 Montgomery Road Cincinnati OH 45249.
