After bravely serving in the United States Navy, Ronald dedicated 38 years of his life to working for the Railroad in their intermodal sales department, exemplifying commitment and hard work. In his personal life, Ronald was a member of the Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church in Greenwood, Indiana, where his faith found expression in both worship and service. His loving spirit was felt throughout his community where he spent many years volunteering with
The Salvation Army, touching the lives of countless individuals with his generosity and warmth.
Ronald's love and dedication to his family knew no bounds. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Anna Marie Kinstler; his two children, Karen Riester and Michael (Lynn) Kinstler; and his four adored grandchildren, Sara (Corey) Blecha, Samantha Riester, Natalie (Cameron) Smith, and Aidan Kinstler.

Ronald was able to make friends wherever his job took him and enjoyed socializing at card parties, block parties, race day parties and attending senior dance classes. His infectious laugh was something to witness.
His patriotism was another facet of Ronald's character, one that had been firmly established during his honorable service in the United States Navy. The love for his country was paralleled only by his profound compassion for animals, a reflection of his all-encompassing love.
