Stephen Glassburn Obituary
Smokey married Mary (Fowler) Glassburn on May 31, 1980. She preceded him in passing on February 9, 2019.
He is survived by children Sean Devero, Scott Glassburn, and Dawn Ankrom and her husband Forrest Donald Ankrom; grandchildren, Ted Ankrom, Levi Ankrom, Regina Gray; step-grandson, Tyler Vincent and step-great granddaughter, Riley Vincent. Also surviving is brother, Larry (Judy) Glassburn.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, wife, Mary and daughter, Kathleen Glassburn.
Smokey was a 1962 graduate of Franklin High School and a graduate of Indiana University where he received a degree in Accounting. He also was a member of the National Guard.
He was employed by Ford Motor Company as an Accountant and also did other various jobs while working for Ford. He retired after thirty-five plus years of dedicated service.
He was a member of Second Mt. Pleasant Church. He loved to socialize, going to garage sales and antiquing. He was always happy and was always laughing. He made friends where ever he went. He loved his cats.
Gerald Homes will conduct a celebration of Smokey's life on Wednesday, November 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 12 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Second Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin.
Memorial contributions may be made to Second Mt. Pleasant Church, 1540 North 800 East, Franklin, Indiana, 46131.
