FARMINGTON – Mrs. Sally Ann Simpson, 70, died September 21st, in Farmington. Sally was born in St. Louis, and was the daughter of Arzie Clayton Stephens, Sr., and Vivian "Billie" (Johnson) Stephens. Also preceding in death were her husband, Lloyd Ray Simpson (1995); a brother, Arzie Clayton Stephens, Jr., a nephew, Jon Stephens and her beloved dog, Maggie Mae Simpson.
Sally was a social worker for more than 20 years for HospiceCare, Inc., when they were established, later becoming Serenity HospiceCare, Inc.
Survivors include two daughters, Laura Raymer, and Kathryn Simpson (Ryan Otto); Granddaughter, Ann Raymer, all of Farmington; Siblings, David (Trina) Stephens, of Herculaneum, Tony (Pat) Stephens, of Winter Garden, Florida, Nancy Richey (Mark Kohl), of Pacific, Missouri, Tammy (Jim) Stevens, of St. Louis; A sister-in-law, Janet Stephens, of Foristell, Missouri; Son-in-law, Frank Raymer, of Farmington; Also surviving are many nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles and cousins.
There will be a gathering of friends and family starting Monday at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. A 'Celebration of Life' will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at TAYLOR Funeral CHAPEL, with Pastor Shannon Skinner officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Annapolis, Missouri.
