Alexis Gerland Obituary
She was the beloved daughter of Craig W. and Kathleen Kuchak Gerland, dear sister of Jason Hans Gerland, loving granddaughter of Andrew J. and Rosalie Kuchak and the late Frederick and Mary Gerland.
Alexis was a graduate of West Chester East High School, where she was an honor student.
She was planning on attending East Carolina University in the fall.
She enjoyed playing field hockey, lacrosse and track, but most of all she loved surfing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Alexis's life celebration from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, at St. Patrick Church, 104 Channing Ave., Malvern, and to her memorial at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to National MS Society Greater Delaware Valley Chapter, 30 S. 17th St., Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

Alexis was someone that you want in your life. I always enjoyed talking to her about sports and surfing, her positivity view of the world and her smile brightens everyone’s day. Alexis and I were in some of the same classes and partners in gym class. There was a few girls in the Advance PE class that were athletic and could do all the activities well. It was nice to know someone that enjoyed athletics as much as I do.
Alexis was a nice, funny, smart, caring, athletic, beautiful person, and good friend.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Alexis. Although we didn't know her, we knew of her from "Boy" Kuchak her Grandfather. May her memory live strong through all those she knew.
