Ann E. Gibson

Ann E. Gibson, age 70, of Parkesburg, PA, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Thursday, December 14, 2017. She was born in Lancaster, PA, daughter of the late Henry & Elizabeth Walton Reinard. She was the wife of Lloyd Ralston Gibson with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage on March 3rd. Ann worked for Kmart of Thorndale for 30 years retiring 5 years ago. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her dogs and granddogs, her children and grandchildren, her pool, working in her yard, and putting together puzzles. She was a great lover of Golden Retrievers and was a consistent supporter of the Golden Retriever Rescue. She was known for always making everyone feel welcome and comfortable in her home, offering pillows and blankets. She was a lifetime member of the Parkesburg Fire Company. She was a constant caregiver for her mother-in-law for the last 5 years. Surviving besides her husband are 2 daughters: Elizabeth Yvonne wife of Steven Zell, Denise Eileen Smith, both of Rising Sun, MD, 4 grandchildren: Trisha Perry, Andrew, Danielle & Sam Smith, 3 step-granddaughters: Rebecca wife of Scott Fetterolf, Cathrine wife of Drew Teter & Adrienne wife of Wes Bare, 1 great-grandson, Jayson Adcock, 8 step-great-grandchildren: Mason, Natalie, Audrey Fetterolf, Savannah, Kendall, Ben Teter, Cole, Autumn Bare, and 1 brother, David, husband of Barbara Reinard of New Freedom, PA. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Erika Perry. Funeral service will take place from the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Thursday, December 21st at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service.
