Bruce E. Bitner

Bruce E. Bitner of West Chester Bruce E. Bitner, 89, of West Chester, passed away on March 29, 2011 at his home. Born in 1922 in Beech Creek, Pa., Bruce served in the US Army, 12th Armored Division during World War II. He was a railroad engineer for Pennsylvania Rail Road. Bruce was predeceased by his wife, the late Camille (nee, O'Brien) Bitner and his son, the late Edwin Schofield. He is survived by his children, Camille Sharpler of West Chester, Regina Kelly of Glen Mills, Margaret Traynor of Hummelstown and Dolores DeBaecke of West Chester. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Road, West Chester, PA 19380.
