Susan and Lisa. I am so saddened by the loss of your father. He and Your mother and I had lovely chats all the time. I met them first at St Patrick’s - as they always sat in the row ahead of me - and were always so happy looking, so well dressed and put together. I was so happy when they also befriended my father at Surrey which then made my friendship with them grow ever stronger. They were like young kids at Christmas wondering what kind of dinner and dessert I would bring over every week. Your dad would always have to have a little sneaky bite before he would come into the living room, offer me a glass of red wine and then we all talked about their younger days. I recall a story about them going out to the movies for 17 cents and all the fun they had in their younger days. And in their latter years too. Your dad was so well versed in current events as well and could always carry on a great conversation. We enjoyed a lovely lunch together at Echo Lake just two weeks ago. I will miss him dearly but am happy that he is with his beloved Olga who I know was in his thoughts every day.
I am sorry I am not in town for his funeral mass but know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
May he Rest In Peace.
