Doris Louise Schmid

Doris Louise Schmid of Downingtown Doris Louise Schmid, 89, of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 at Wellington at Hershey's Mill. She was the loving wife of the late John S. Schmid, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2006. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late David and Alma Feilke Callahan. Doris loved to travel the world with her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Joan and her children, Allison and Kristin; daughter, Nancy and her husband Joe and their children, Jennifer and Michael; a sister Jean and two great grandchildren, Kerrigan and Nora. She was predeceased by a grandson, Brian and a granddaughter, Katie. A funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 104 Village Avenue in Exton where family and friends may call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery, Downingtown.
