Frank Settle

Frank Settle of West Grove Frank Settle, 76, of West Grove, passed away at Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013. He was the husband of Jane C. Essig Settle with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on March 16th. He was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Thomas and Dorothy Russell Settle. He attended Beulah Baptist Church of Oxford. He was very active most of his life at Olney Baptist Church of Philadelphia and Memorial Baptist Church of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., where he was a former Sunday school teacher, Deacon and choir member. Frank was a manager for Drever Corporation of Huntingdon Valley. He was a veteran of the Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Frank was a supervisor for Upper Southampton Township for 6 years. He was a member of Gideons International. He loved traveling to Sanibel Island, Fla. and to visit his daughter in Jacksonville, Fla. He was known for being quite the handyman, enjoying many building projects. Surviving besides his wife are three children, Cheryl Settle of Jacksonville, Fla., Colleen, wife of Scott Klein of Cochranville, and Evan, husband of Kathleen Czarnecki Settle of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren; two siblings, Harvey, husband of Lorraine Settle of Delaware and John, husband of Patricia Settle of Ronks, Pa. A celebration of life service will take place at 11 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2014, from the Willowdale Chapel, 675 Unionville Road, Kennett Square, with Dr. Paul Randolph officiating.
