James C. "JimBob" Gorman Jr.

James C. ‘JimBob’ Gorman Jr. of West Chester James C. “JimBob” Gorman, Jr., passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved companion, best friend and soul mate of Deborah Franciotti of Coatesville with whom he shared 28 years of love and commitment. Born in West Chester, he was the son of James C. Gorman, Sr. and the late Druscilla Joyce Stone Gorman. Following graduation from Henderson High School, James went on to work for Trans Material for 25 years. Due to his failing health, he retired from Di Rocco Brothers in September of 2016 where he worked as a truck driver. He was one of the original, founding members of the Long Riders Motorcycle Club. James enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends. He lived for drag racing, Nascar, football and baseball. His sons recall how committed he was to their baseball teams, never to miss a practice or game in 15 years. His biggest pride was being pop-pop to granddaughter Kaylee and spending quality time with daddy’s little girl Deanna. In addition to his father, James C. Gorman, Sr. and companion, Deborah Franciotti, James is survived by his three children, Deanna , James (Melissa) and Johnny Gorman; a granddaughter Kaylee Gorman. He was predeceased by his mother, Druscilla Joyce Stone and sister, Jeanette Gorman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, where friends and family may call from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. followed by a 2:30 p.m. words of remembrance. “One More Ride “ to follow immediately following service in JimBob’s honor.
